i can solve problems using order of operations

i learned the order of operations can be remembered by PEMDAS.
which stands for parentheses, exponents, multiplicaton, division, addition, subtraction.
so if you had a problem like 2 + 7 - 4, it would = 5.
because you do addition first, then subtraction.
