If you were to live near a volcano, the harm that the volcano can cause is determined by the type of explosion the volcano produces. If it was an explosive eruption lava and other pyroclastic material can be fatal. If it was a non explosive eruption, ash is more than likely to appear, that can cause ash and dust to build up in our atmosphere and could block sunlight for days.
